Top three tips when applying for a job with us?

Prepare for your interview - my favourite quote I've used throughout my recruitment career is 'fail to prepare, prepare to fail'. You don't need to spend days preparing but always look at the website as there are always great pieces of information, try and WOW your interviewer with your skills and knowledge. Finally, bring your notes in, interviews can feel make you feel nervous and that's normal! Bring in your examples on a notebook and tell your interviewer that you need to review your notes, they won't mind!

Utilise online resources - Linking in with my previous point, use resources online to prepare for your interview and some companies share tips on their websites to help you. On our website we have shared blog posts like what to expect in interviews, tips to ace your next interview and many more.

Visit the pub you're applying for before your interview - you don't have to be a regular in one of our pubs to apply and interview but we always recommend a visit before your interview, this helps you get a feel for the individual pub, atmosphere and surroundings helping you to bring your ideas & examples to life in your interview. You could speak to a member of the team whilst your there to let them know you're interviewing and even ask some initial questions!

Our Chef & Brewer collection have my favourite burger at the moment which is a hand-pressed beef burger topped with slow-roasted beef rib braised with Merlot & beef dripping gravy, Marmite™ mayonnaise and Barber’s of Somerset Cheddar, this paired with a pint of Flint Eye Larger one of Greene King's very best!
