What does it take to deliver great digital experiences for our customers?.

We caught up with Becci Moreton, Delivery Manager within Greene King’s Digital Delivery team, to find out. Becci shares what she enjoys most about leading her team, the projects and customer journeys they’re helping to shape, and the qualities she looks for in people joining the team. Plus, she offers some advice for anyone thinking about applying..

Tell us a bit about yourself and your role

I'm a Delivery Manager within Greene King 's Digital Delivery team, supporting the products and platforms that help our customers interact with us online, from browsing our pubs and restaurants to making bookings and planning visits.

I have a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts, our roles are all about helping deliver value. I work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Scrum Teams and wider stakeholders across Digital and the business, to turn ideas into outcomes, remove obstacles and create an environment where teams can do their best work. No two days are ever quite the same, which is one of the things I enjoy most about the role.

What do you enjoy most about leading this team?

The people, without question. I also enjoy the variety of challenges we tackle. Whether we're launching brand new customer experiences or focusing on continuous improvement, there is always an opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

What qualities make someone successful in this role?

Curiosity, ownership and adaptability. We're looking for people who enjoy asking questions, building genuine relationships and who want to contribute to the teams success. Successful team members are comfortable working across a range of internal stakeholders, 3rd party suppliers and initiatives ranging from XS to XL, they can navigate ambiguity and aren't afraid to take the initiative.

What advice would you give someone considering applying?

Be yourself and be curious, let your personality come through. Interviews can be daunting, and they can feel very formal which doesn't always pull out the best people have to offer. We want to see who you are, we're interested in how you think, how you approach challenges and how you work with others.

Don't worry about having experience of every system or process. We're much more interested in people who are eager to learn, ask great questions and bring a positive mindset.

What projects or initiatives will they be working on?

You'll be joining a team that supports some of Greene King's most important digital products and customer journeys. In this role, it could include enhancing our web and booking experiences, improving online customer journeys, supporting digital transformation initiatives and helping to deliver new capabilities that make it easier for guests to discover, book and engage with Greene King.
