Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team and drive growth within our largest revenue generating area across some of the most prestigious sites in Greene King.

This role will focus on a portfolio of exceptional high-complexity hospitality venues with strong food and drink credentials (several AA rosettes between them, and featured in the Michelin guide). This area sits across a wide geography covering London, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced operator to lead this best-in-class group of renowned establishments representing the pinnacle of hospitality. These include iconic venues like the Ubiquitous Chip in Glasgow (which is in line for significant investment in summer FY25), the historic Cafe Royal in Edinburgh, and the highly decorated Ladbroke in Notting Hill. These venues, along with seven other exceptional locations, set the standard for excellence in the industry and you'll have the opportunity to contribute to a legacy of unparalleled service and culinary success within this esteemed group.

As a Business Development Manager, you will lead and nurture the teams within your area, helping them achieve their full potential by adopting a high trust/high challenge approach. You will drive your business by coming up with innovative ideas, taking calculated risks, and making the necessary adjustments to serve the needs of your customers- all whilst keeping in mind our Premium Venture values and our goal of ‘continuously elevating the art of the pub’.

Your role as Business Development Manager, you will… 

• Build solid partnerships with all support teams to guarantee that pubs have the finest levels of assistance and expertise at all times.  

• Engage with the FOH and BOH teams to identify outstanding talent and support internal role progressions.  

• Understand and manage the team as individuals, learning how to maximise their potential and support them. 

• Assist in making sure all your pubs are always safe, legal, and clean and dealing with any issues as soon as possible. 

• Take ownership and accomplish goals by evaluating success using the balanced scorecard and KPIs.
