Company Description

As a Senior HR Data Analyst will conduct detailed analytical projects using a variety of data sources, not limited to people data (e.g. Customer, Financial and Dartboard) for use across the business - model, cleanse, transform and correlate data to identify trends and patterns and then visualise in a way that provides stakeholders actionable data and insights.

Please note, this is an 18 month contract. We have an agile working policy with a requirement to work in our Burton on Trent office or our Bury St Edmunds office twice a week with the remaining days working from home.

Job Description

Your role as Senior HR Data Analyst

  • Investigate and propose new tools to build dashboards / visualise data (continuous learning of new technical skills and technologies as we become more sophisticated) to generate insights (In the Future once the tech is in place) 
  • Act as deputy to the HR Data & Reporting Manager in regard to data and lead on projects where appropriate
  • Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex and large data sets relating to both our internal business and correlate with external data sources. Mine and analyse large datasets, draw valid interpretations / variances and present them successfully to stakeholders.
  • Set up and maintain automated data processes – Gather data, organise it, summarise it where necessary, maintain it, and ensure robust people data is available for analysis
  • Monitor and audit data quality - clean and transform to look for trends in the data
  • Work with IT, BI, Finance and Marketing to ensure robust people data and KPIs are available and understood, be a conduit for wider business to understand and analyse people data (In the future once the tech is in place)
  • Support people projects, delivering ad-hoc analysis and insight as required.

 

What you’ll bring… 

  • Exceptional HR domain knowledge of both data flows, systems and processes
  • Data savvy - knowledge of data modelling and data cleansing techniques
  • Knowledge & experience in PowerBI
  • Knowledge of (or capability to learn) new technology such as R scripting language (e.g. for automation of data cleansing) and ability to learn new tools as required – continuous learning mindset
  • Some knowledge or experience in statistical data would be an advantage
  • Level 4 Data Analyst or equivalent
