Sales Coordinator - Hotels (Maternity Cover)

This is a 9 month FTC

We are looking to recruit a Sales Coordinator - Hotels (Maternity Cover) to join our team supporting over 130 hotels based out of our Burton Upon Trent offices on a hybrid working working basis. As a Sales Coordinator - Hotels, you will play a crucial role in maximising corporate sales for all Greene King Hotels, working alongside the Commercial Sales Manager. This is a maternity cover role on a 9 month fixed term basis. 

The Sales Coordinator will support the Commercial Sales Manager in driving corporate bedroom and meetings/events business for GKI.

This role is a PTC salary banding

In your role as a Sales Co-ordinator, you will...

• Support the Commercial Sales Manager and Head of Sales and Revenue by identifying new corporate opportunities for hotel bedrooms and meetings and events business through telesales and handling of incoming opportunities
• Manage the online visibility of the corporate booking channel for accommodation and meeting and events, and identify new potential opportunities to gain more market share
• Support the sales process by managing the commission partnership through corporate agencies
• Handle the incoming national corporate process through the global distribution system and maintain and improve our hotels visibility 
• Support the hotels with their locally negotiated corporate rate process

What you’ll bring...  

• Commercial awareness and hotel systems knowledge preferred but not essential
• Good communicator with ability to engage the business and share new ideas
• Excellent administration skills, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and especially Excel
• You're a great team player who will work well with internal teams  and external organisations
