The HRBP is accountable for the co-ordination and execution of the People and Culture Strategy for the Crafted business. This role is responsible for all elements of the people operation, including partnering the operations team, Employee Relations, Talent Planning, Engagement, championing people innovation, and ensuring the business is within risk tolerance and maintaining high people standards across in all aspects.
The HRBP will build sustainable partnerships across the Greene King network (primarily the people and operational functions) to ensure that solutions are always fit for purpose. Through a commercial and people focus lens, the HRBP is responsible for identifying future people requirements of the business in line with the strategic growth plan.
- Implementing the People Plan to drive high performance, internal progression, and organizational effectiveness
- Guiding management teams through HR advice on culture, wellbeing, recognition, and building sustainable engagement through a thorough understanding of group people policies and network
- Day to day management of People metrics and people risks in operations, analysing and building solutions for off track KPI’s.
- Leading on the business unit engagement plan, working closely with the People and Culture team on developing and embedding diversity and inclusion objectives
- Development and execution of business unit people personality profile, person specification and identity, alongside the Resourcing Partner
- Execution of the business unit wellbeing strategy leveraging centrally driven innovations.
- Role modelling Leadership Principles and coaching Team members, managers and other junior HR professionals.
- Identifying trends and building strategies and practices that ensure adoption of Leadership Principles and values across their area.
- Acting as a point of escalation for absence, grievance, and disciplinary matters, offering expertise advise across all layers of the operations structure, guiding with commercial and people focused advice
- Identifying ER trends and working with Employee Relations and Line Managers to determine policy/process upskilling.
- Working cross-divisionally on centrally driven development programmes, ensuring talent share.
- Partnering with the Resourcing Partner to ensure all talents gaps are identified and filled in a timely manner, especially prior to new openings
- In conjunction with the Resourcing Partner, interpreting hiring data and providing recommendations to recruiting managers for sourcing strategies.
- Execution of pay and reward solutions communications and embedment where applicable.
- Providing input into organisational design discussions and supporting on organisational change and communications.
- Identifying gaps in policy and services, making recommendations for system process improvement and assisting with the drafting of required policies.
- Great at building relationships and influencing at all levels, internal and external, through listening and adjusting communication style to meet the needs of the audience
- Strong all-round communication skills including delivery and presentation of information to all levels, as well as regular presenting to Senior Management and Management Teams
- An innovative thinker who can find creative solutions to meet the needs of a Venture business
- Able to partner Operations Manager/Director to develop ‘best in class’ operations team
- Able to provide meaningful, objective challenges ensuring that the right outcomes are reached that take into consideration not just the operational priority but that meets people priorities as well
- Relentless, proactive focus on improving sustainable business performance through a people-focussed approach to business planning
- Extensive knowledge of HR policy and process and always has a plan to meet or exceed expectations
- Dynamic and can use agile thinking skills to analyse, decide, prioritise and plan, managing several programmes/projects at the same time
- Can balance short term requirements with long term objectives to achieve commercial goals
- Experience in a multi-site offering within a matrix structure organisation
- CIPD qualified desirable, but not essential
- Full driving licence essential for this role
