This agile role works a 50:50 split between home and our Burton office.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction, providing guidance and support to line managers and employees over email, telephone, and in person for all people matters including signposting external services if required.
- Capture each query received accurately and timely on our Case Management System, providing a complete record for future reference.
- Escalate high-risk queries and/or cases to the Employee Relations Case Manager.
- Skilled in the management of absence and attendance processes
- Support the Employee Relations Case Managers to coordinate the administration behind key processes e.g., invite letters, suspension, investigation, and outcome letters that are necessary to support effective ER intervention
- Compiling a Subject Access Request (SAR) as requested by our Data Protection team, protecting the confidentiality of the subject always
- Highlighting people-related areas of risk to the company and raising awareness of issues with the line manager
- Provide training for line managers within the business on our policies, procedures, guidelines, and how to get support as part of the induction process and any ad-hoc training on specific employee relations processes e.g., long-term absence
- Administration of our internal Whistle Blowing system, escalating where appropriate
- Support project delivery as required
- Keep up to date with current and future employment legislation
Person Specification
- Experience in the Retail or Hospitality sectors and a good understanding of Employment relations preferable.
- Qualified or actively studying towards CIPD Level 3, although not essential as training can be provided
- Knowledge of Data Protection, GDPR, and PECR legislation
- Microsoft Office IT skills including Microsoft word,PowerPoint, Excel, and TEAMS
- GSCE English and Maths required
