Business Analyst (Data)

To deliver business analysis activity focused on Data & AI processes and requirements to ensure the successfully delivery of data related changes. This includes working closely with the business in defining requirements and helping identify, design and implement new processes, data flows and solutions to meet the project objectives.

Outcomes and Key Performance Indicators

• Execute business analysis activity as required on Data and AI focussed projects and continuous improvement activity
• Document use cases and requirements for Data and AI projects and changes
• Work closely with the Projects, Architecture, Development and Test teams as part of the delivery of change
• Understand business objectives and ambitions and validate business requirements from a wide range of stakeholders using appropriate business analysis techniques
• Accurately document business requirements, data flows, data transformations, processes (‘as is’ and ‘to be’)
• Work with the project team to plan business change and design business process
• Work with multiple third-party vendors to deliver world class solutions
• Understand the business process and systems and the associated core Data platforms and identify improvement opportunities

• Experience of managing Data & AI focussed business analysis activity in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands
• Experience of mapping data flows across systems
• Experience of identifying and capturing Data and AI use cases to drive value from an organisation’s data
• Ability to identify and resolve data-related issues and recommend process improvement opportunities
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, able to clearly articulate concepts and ideas, challenge effectively and manage expectations
• Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude, tenacity, drive, initiative, and creativity
• Ability to own multiple changes from inception, manage them concurrently and ensure timely delivery
• Undertake investigative work to determine business requirements, ‘as is’ / ‘to be’ processes and business change in respect of compliance frameworks
• Experience of working with technical and project teams to ensure that technical solutions are delivered on time and to a high standard
• Ability to deliver creative and innovative solutions to solve business problems whilst minimising cost impact.
• Strong competence in technical analysis and complex problem solving
• Logical, analytical approach to problem solving, the ability to maintain progress when there is ambiguity
