🚀 What’s the opportunity?

As Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of The Eagle, supporting the General Manager and helping to deliver an outstanding experience for every customer.

You’ll:

• Support the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the pub.
• Take ownership of shifts and confidently lead the team in the GM's absence.
• Lead, coach and develop the team, helping people grow and perform at their best.
• Maintain consistently high standards across service, food, cleanliness and customer experience.
• Build strong relationships with customers and help maintain The Eagle's fantastic reputation.
• Help drive sales and identify opportunities to grow the business.
• Ensure the pub is ready to deliver during busy services and key trading periods.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure great communication and smooth service.
• Support with rotas, stock, cash management and other operational responsibilities.
• Champion health & safety, licensing and brand standards.
• Help create a positive team culture where people feel supported, motivated and proud of what they do.
• Bring new ideas and energy to help make the most of this unique venue.
• Act as a role model on every shift and lead by example.

We're looking for an Assistant Manager or experienced hospitality leader who:

• Has previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or similar.
• Has experience in a busy pub, restaurant, bar or high-volume hospitality environment.
• Is confident leading a team and taking ownership of a shift.
• Has strong communication skills and knows how to motivate and develop people.
• Takes pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Is commercially aware and understands how great service can drive sales and repeat business.
• Can remain calm, organised and hands-on when things get busy.
• Has a genuine passion for food, drinks and hospitality.
• Takes pride in maintaining high operational and service standards.
• Is proactive, energetic and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
• Wants to develop their skills and progress their career with Greene King.
