Company Description

As a Lead Investigator you will, build & lead a dynamic team responsible for investigating concerns involving alleged breaches of our Code of Conduct & Ethics and policies. This includes high risk and sensitive cases of alleged discrimination, harassment, workplace bullying, and other misconduct issues. The role is expected to work effectively across the business with an ability to discern systemic issues revealed during the investigative process. From these role build a strategy aligned to the business direction to minimise and mitigate risk.

You will manage a team to maintain a caseload of multiple investigations across all areas of the business, working both autonomously and collaboratively with stakeholders.

Job Description

Your role as Lead investigator

  • Conduct confidential internal investigations into allegations of violations of internal policies, at all work levels including but not limited to bullying, discrimination, harassment, retaliation and produce comprehensive and clear investigation reports and/or outcomes.
  •  Build an investigation strategy that is forward thinking and inclusive, including upskilling for line managers.

  • Hold case reviews of high-profile investigations building a culture where balanced feedback is a regular part of the conversation

  • Maintain stakeholder relationships in the face of conflicting demands or directions and provide evidence-based conclusion and recommendation on sound diagnosis and information.

 

What you’ll bring… 

  • High level of empathy and strong competency to articulate complex issues to the business and provide long-term solutions to be developed and implemented

  • Experience in Ethics, ER, HR or workplace investigations

  • An enthusiasm for investigations and the important role they play in advancing the culture of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with executives, senior leaders, members of management, and employees at all levels of the company and others during investigations

Qualifications

  • Legal background preferred
  • Trained mediator and or willingness to be trained in mediation
  • Preferred Greene King operational expertise at area manager level
  • Understands and able to apply parameters of Employee Relations cases in accordance with the ACAS Code of Practice
