If you're an experienced Kitchen Manager or Head Chef who is passionate about great food, loves leading a team and knows what it takes to run a successful pub kitchen, we'd love to hear from you.

At the Snooty Fox in Three Bridges, we're all about bringing people together. From family lunches and Sunday roasts to drinks with friends, live sport and evenings filled with live music, there's always a reason for customers to walk through our doors.

We're looking for someone who can take ownership of our kitchen, lead from the front and make great food a key part of the Snooty Fox experience.

Qualifications

🔥 What’s the opportunity?

As Kitchen Manager / Head Chef, you'll take ownership of the kitchen and play a key role in the overall success of the pub.

You'll:

  • Lead the kitchen team from the front, setting clear expectations and maintaining high standards.
  • Take ownership of food quality, consistency and presentation across every service.
  • Coach, motivate and develop the kitchen team, helping everyone perform at their best.
  • Create a positive and well-organised kitchen environment.
  • Ensure the kitchen operates safely, efficiently and in line with all food safety and health & safety requirements.
  • Manage stock takes, ordering, stock rotation and wastage effectively.
  • Monitor food costs and GP to ensure the kitchen operates commercially.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to drive the food offer and overall business performance.
  • Ensure the kitchen is prepared for busy periods, sporting occasions, live music and key events.
  • Help maximise sales through great food, consistency and excellent execution.
  • Bring ideas and creativity to the kitchen while understanding what works for the local customer.
  • Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation and compliance.
  • Lead busy services with confidence and keep the team focused when the pressure is on.

This is a role where you'll have genuine ownership of the kitchen. We're looking for someone who is confident in their experience, understands pub operations and wants to make a real difference.

We're looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager / Head Chef who:

  • Has proven experience leading a kitchen, ideally within a busy pub or branded hospitality environment.
  • Has a strong understanding of day-to-day kitchen operations.
  • Is passionate about food and takes pride in delivering consistently high standards.
  • Leads from the front and is comfortable being hands-on during service.
  • Has strong people-management and communication skills.
  • Knows how to coach, motivate and develop a kitchen team.
  • Has excellent knowledge of food safety, health & safety and kitchen compliance.
  • Is confident managing stock takes, stock rotation, ordering and wastage.
  • Understands food GP and the commercial side of running a kitchen.
  • Is organised, resilient and able to stay calm during busy services.
  • Understands the importance of consistency in a high-volume pub environment.
  • Enjoys working as part of the wider management team.
  • Has the ambition to grow the food business and continue developing their own career.
