As Finance Business Partner, your role will be based from Burton Upon Trent (or Bury St Edmunds) and your role will be to support our Farmhouse Inns business unit to provide insight, analysis and challenge to support decision making and to drive the profitability of the Business Unit.

Your role as Finance Business Partner:
- Supporting the Farmhouse Inns Business Unit Director providing insight, analysis and challenge to support decision making and to drive the profitability of the Business Unit.
- Experience the business by being out in trade regularly to understand implications of decisions and opportunities.
- Reviewing and interrogating investment business cases.
- Provide support to the Finance Manager, Financial Controller and Finance Director on ad-hoc analysis.
- Review period accounts ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Creation of P&L budgets/forecasts.
- Communicate and present the financial performance of the business unit.
- Provide support and develop great relationships across the Managed Finance teams and wider business.
What you'll bring:
- Strong business partnering skills - able to influence outcomes and handle challenging commercial situations in a professional manner
- Previous experience in period end reviews.
- Experience in a commercially facing finance role (retail sector is advantageous)
- The ability to build great relationships and discuss finance with non finance professionals.
- Excellent communication skills, with a natural ability to explain and present financial data in simple ways.
- Proactive, “can do” attitude – see tasks and projects through to completion and full implementation.
- Confident in challenging non-finance colleagues based on a combination of robust analysis/insight and experience.
- A passion for pubs with plenty of energy!
Qualifications/system skills required:
- A formal Accountancy qualification (full or part qualified in ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Powerpoint.
- Knowledge of Cognos, PowerBi or equivalent finance reporting packages.
