Junior Data Scientist

** 9 Month Fixed Term Contract**

As a Junior Data Scientist you will play a pivotal role in analysing and reporting on activity within various Greene King Systems across the wider business, creating detailed reports and presenting insights to key stakeholders. You will be required to use advanced modelling and statistical analysis to help drive commercial value and contribute to building a data science centre of excellence across Greene King.

The role will business partner with various stakeholders across Digital, Design, Marketing, Customer Relationship Management and Paid Media to ensure delivery of insightful and actionable customer modelling allowing stakeholders to make data driven decisions that drive customer action. The successful candidate must be able to approach problems critically, assessing gaps in data and coming up with solutions that allow for successful delivery.  

The successful candidate will need to engage with various systems and software with a focus on PowerBI, SQL and Python.

Your role as Junior Data Scientist 

• Defining and building models to predict or guide key business decisions
• Building and maintaining automated reporting capabilities
• Developing relationships with key stakeholders and keeping them up to date with appropriate reporting
• Developing reports and visualisations with effective communication of findings and key insights
• Communicating insights in an accessible and understandable format to different stakeholders

What you’ll bring… 

• Proficiency in either SQL or Python with a willingness to learn
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyse complex data sets
• Knowledge of digital analytics, AB testing, and industry trends
• Experience in data visualization and dashboard creation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
