Commercial Finance Manager

As a Commercial Finance Manager you will play a key role in supporting the Metropolitan Pub Executive team in driving the performance and growth of the pub estate.  This role provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced commercial facing role within an established forward-thinking business.  This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a great team on a hybrid working basis (50% office based/50% home working) from our London office

Your role as Commercial Finance Manager

• Lead the annual budget, re-forecasts and Strategic Plan submissions for Metropolitan Pub Co
• Review accuracy of monthly management accounts, highlight areas of under/over performance
• Produce financial and commercial analysis to support Head of Food and Drinks with supplier cost negotiations
• Create financial modelling for drinks and food proposals to ensure transparency on margin and profitability
• Complete the financial and commercial evaluation of discount and promotions proposals
• Work closely with the Group Pricing and Insights teams to understand the market and gain a comprehensive understanding of Metropolitan Pubs performance vs market competitors
• Provide financial analysis to support all investment proposals and decisions
• Continually drive process, system and accounting improvement across the business
• Deputise for the Head of Finance as required, provide adhoc financial advice & support to the Metropolitan executive team

What you’ll bring…

• Qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
• Business partnering experience gained in a large organisation
• Advanced level excel skills, experience with Cognos beneficial
• An ability to analyse complex financial and non-financial scenarios, reach logical conclusions and recommend actions in a clear, concise, and persuasive way
• An ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with varied and multiple demands, able to prioritise effectively
• Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels within the business, adjusting the style of communication to meet the needs of the audience
