Assistant General Manager

As an Assistant General Manager you will work with the General manager to lead, motivate, and inspire the team to deliver delicious food & drink and a great customer experience every time.  You will be responsible for key areas of the business and will be accountable for all aspects of the business when deputising for the General Manager.

The Cart and Horses is a beautiful country pub located in the village of Kings Worthy, approximately 2 miles Northeast of Winchester. Plans to renovate are underway to make the most of this 18th Century pub, reinstating the beautiful gardens for an al-fresco spot to dine and transforming the inside space with roaring fires and dedicated areas from cosy drinking 'nooks' to private dining. The pub's highlight will be its carefully crafted menu featuring local organic British produce including exceptional Sunday roasts through to seasonal specials.

What you'll do as an Assistant General Manager...  

• Support the General Manager in the day to day running of the business and leading the business in their absence.   

• Engage, inspire, coach, empower and connect with all team members, setting standards, expectations and making sure our team can be their best everyday 

• Support the General Manager to maximise all sales opportunities for your business, delivering against agreed sales and volume targets, and profit and loss accounts
