Test Lead

The Test Lead role will be responsible for the delivery of testing activities within IT development or integration projects. Working with the IT Test Manager, they will provide direction and leadership to other testers and contribute to the definition of strategies to ensure effective and efficient testing.

In your role as Test Lead you will be….

• Responsible for overseeing the testing activities within IT development or integration projects
• Working with the IT Manager to define strategies that ensure the most effective and efficient testing is conducted, including the use of specialised testing tools and techniques.
• Collaborating with client/user to determine the most appropriate testing approaches for IT projects or programmes within the constraints and operational requirements of Greene King. Manages overall client relationships and sets expectations with respect to all testing matters.
• Reporting on the effectiveness of testing for IT and identifies improvements to the testing process. Presents improvement proposals to IT Test Manager and senior client/user management and supports their implementation.
• Ensuring adherence to project-testing standards for all phases, influencing all parties to conform to those standards. Consults with project managers to manage the expectations for the testing stages of projects.
• Review and approve test documentation produced by IT test team members

What you’ll bring… 

• Experience of being a Test Lead within the testing function in a fast-paced environment
• Experience of delivering for multiple projects concurrently, manging a combination of permanent and third-party test resources
• Strong people management skills to enhance a high performing and harmonious team
• Strong experience of delivering credible and robust testing execution for ‘out of the box’ solutions which may contain some bespoke elements and multiple integrations
• Working knowledge of test management software
