Our Supply Chain team are working to create a best in class supply chain function to deliver competitive advantage through introducing innovation and delivering best costs, security of supply and service in the industry. To support this ambition, we are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to focus on supply chain operations across retail food and GNFR, and recycling services.
Based from our Burton on Trent office (approx 50% hybrid working) and reporting to the Supply Chain Lead, this key role provides variety alongside the ability to be strategic and the freedom to innovate.
Your role as a Supply Chain Manager...
- Leads the food and GNFR distribution contract on an open book, dedicated contract basis
- Maximise service, control costs and challenge key areas, ensuring operations are aligned to our strategic plans/projects & culture.
- Controls all operational contractual obligations within the supply chain
- Lead, motivate and mentor 2 direct reports including development and growth
- Central lead in all trade waste recycling/management dealing with all service issues including legal complaints, etc, maintains recycling standards in the network and is central lead for all legislation/waste data and compliance
- Driving best practice throughout our pubs to improve the level and quality of recycling and maximising the commodity revenues through our recycling partner
- Responsible for ensuring new menus and other key events such as Christmas are successfully planned and delivered from an operational perspective (picked accurately and on time and delivered to pubs, plus all recycling collected as per the schedule)
- Lead for all added value projects within the food and GNFR supply chain, agitating the norm and delivering industry leading innovation in the supply chain
What you'll bring...
To be successful in this role, you will have previous supply chain management experience including experience in open book contract management, and experience in delivering complex projects. Additional experience focused on sustainability/ESG will be highly regarded. In addition to your experience, you will demonstrate the following skills:
- Strong commercial and analytical skills
- Proven leadership skills with experience leading a team through complex projects
- A growth mindset with the desire to continue to improve and innovate
