Greene King pubs are looking for some Opening Trainers (12 Month FTC)
This is a very exiting role supporting the Learning and Development team in delivering a great training experience to our pubs that have an upcoming investment.
We are looking for people with a Passion for Training, lots of energy and strong hospitality skills. Ability and Confidence in delivering to audiences of all sizes is essential.
As this is a national role there will be lots of travel and therefore a need for lots of flexibility. If you think this, is you then we would love to hear from you.

Your role as Opening Trainer
- Responsible for the delivery of the team training experience for all in pub learning following investment at site
- Building, nurturing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to agree pre-opening training plans and support
- Providing complete learning expertise and support to our operations team in a professional and commercial way, whilst always driving the culture, vision, and values of Greene King through a divisional identity lens.
- Working with Learning & Development partners to create a brand-focused training experience for all roles
- Offer support/coaching/interventions to drive performance for businesses post-investment where needed
- Delivery of learning outside of the investment scope i.e. induction/divisional focus events
- As a Trainer, you will be responsible for gauging the training needs of individuals and teams, ensuring trainee safety, and conducting feedback surveys to assess the effectiveness of training you had delivered.
What you’ll bring…
- Experience of working in the retail/leisure/hospitality sector
- Understanding of the technical and system aspects of the hospitality business
- Understands how to adapt delivery style depending on the audience.
- Can show as well as tell using training and coaching methods
