As a Laboratory Technician you will ensure a quality control at all stages of beer production.

Qualifications

Your role as Laboratory Technician 

  • Sample and analyse for physical and chemical parameters and for microbiological parameters in line with agreed schedule and on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Record and report results in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Conduct quality surveys or projects as required
  • Actively promote a high level of adherence to quality specifications
  • Carry out departmental housekeeping, hygiene and environmental audits
  • Maintain compliance to health, safety and environmental rules and guidelines
  • Assist with training of operators in some techniques and analyses
  • Ensure all instruments used are calibrated and fit for purpose
  • Carry out routine calibration checks on laboratory instruments
  • Participate in in-house instrument/technician validation procedures.
  • Participate in external proficiency schemes
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards
  • Maintain supply of clean laboratory equipment and microbiological media
  • Prepare, set up and assist with tasting sessions and sensory training
