Employee Relations Advisor

As an Employee Relations Advisor on a 6 month fixed term contract basis you will act as custodian to our culture by supporting our line managers and employees throughout our business to adopt our policies and procedures consistently and fairly. This agile role works a 50:50 split between home and our Burton office.

This role is a Senior Professional (PT) Career Band

Location:  50:50 split between home and our Burton office.

Your role as ER Advisor 

• Manage a TUPE process start to finish working with stakeholders and higher management.
• Capture each query received accurately and timely on our Case Management System, providing a complete record for future reference.
• Skilled in the management of absence and attendance processes
• Support the Employee Relations Case Managers to coordinate the administration behind key processes e.g., invite letters, suspension, investigation, and outcome letters that are necessary to support effective ER intervention
• Compiling a Subject Access Request (SAR) as requested by our Data Protection team, protecting the confidentiality of the subject always
• Provide training for line managers within the business on our policies, procedures, guidelines, and how to get support as part of the induction process and any ad-hoc training on specific employee relations processes e.g., long-term absence

What you'll bring 

• Experience in the Retail or Hospitality sectors and a good understanding of Employment relations preferable.
• Have in-depth knowledge and experience of TUPE process and legislation
• Qualified or actively studying towards CIPD Level 3, although not essential as training can be provided
• Knowledge of Data Protection, GDPR, and PECR legislation
• Microsoft Office IT skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and TEAMS
