Job Description

As a Commis Chef, you will:

  • Assist in the preparation of all ingredients and dishes following established recipes and guidelines, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
  • Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment to comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth workflow and take part in training sessions to enhance culinary skills.
  • Assist in various kitchen tasks including inventory management, helping with deliveries, and restocking, stock rotation and cleaning stations.

 

What you’ll bring to the kitchen:

  • Awareness of manual handling techniques and experience working with kitchen equipment.
  • A willingness to learn and develop, participating in regular training sessions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Previous experience working within a hotel/restaurant kitchen within a team.
