Job description

Scope & Key Interfaces

Outcomes and KPIs

  • Execute business analysis activity as required for a varied set of projects and continuous improvement workstreams
  • Experience of delivering multiple projects concurrently working with a combination of permanent and third-party resources
  • Understand business objectives and ambitions and validate business requirements from a wide range of stakeholders using appropriate business analysis techniques
  • Capture and validate business requirements and use cases from a wide range of stakeholders for projects, initiatives and enhancements, using appropriate business analysis techniques
  • Work closely with the Projects, Architecture, Development and Test teams as part of the delivery of change
  • Accurately document business requirements, data flows, data transformations, processes (‘as is’ and ‘to be’)
  • Work with the project team to plan business change and design business process
  • Work with multiple third-party vendors to deliver world class solutions
  • Understand the business process and systems and identify improvement opportunities
  • Strong skills in core Microsoft products for presentation and analysis

Qualifications

  • Experience of managing IT business analysis activity in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues and recommend process improvement opportunities
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, able to clearly articulate concepts and ideas, challenge effectively and manage expectations
  • Demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude, tenacity, drive, initiative, and creativity
  • Ability to own multiple changes from inception, manage them concurrently and ensure timely delivery
  • Undertake investigative work to determine business requirements, ‘as is’ / ‘to be’ processes and business change in respect of compliance frameworks
  • Experience of working with technical and project teams to ensure that technical solutions are delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Ability to deliver creative and innovative solutions to solve business problems whilst minimising cost impact
  • Strong competence in technical analysis and complex problem solving
  • Logical, analytical approach to problem solving, the ability to maintain progress when there is ambiguity
  • Proven experience in delivering high quality supporting documentation
  • Experience and knowledge of business analysis best practice
  • Experience and knowledge of business change and business process design
  • Knowledge and experience of working in a retail or hospitality environment preferable for role or equivalent including BCS Business Analysis modules and overall qualification:

                          • BCS Certificate in Business Analysis Practice
                          • BCS Certificate in Requirements Engineering
                          • BCS Certificate in Modelling Business Processes
