OUR MISSION
The Village Greene is dedicated to supporting Greene King and its teams in creating welcoming environments for the LGBTQ+ community. Our mission is to foster an inclusive environment where everyone including both employees and customers, feel confident to be their true authentic selves.
Our Accomplishments
Fundraising
We have raised significant funds for Switchboard as well as organising community building events such as the Pride Ball and Awards.
Policy's
We’ve recently launched a Pronouns Partnership and Trans Awareness guide supporting the implementation of the Gender Identity Policy.
Recognition
We’ve received nominations for multiple awards such as the DIVA Awards 2023 and Rainbow Honours 2023, that recognised our leadership in Inclusion and Diversity.
At the moment, we are having a conversation about where does Greene King show up with pride in the summer. No, we're not rainbow washing here.

Future Aspirations
Our mission is to enhance inclusivity in pubs by increasing the number of pride events and creating safe spaces for both our teams and customers. We are dedicated to providing pubs with the necessary tools to achieve this goal. Additionally, we aspire to raise a minimum of £50,000 for Switchboard in celebration of their 50 year anniversary.
Looking ahead, we are committed to building on our current strengths by supporting our partnership with Switchboard, emphasising the importance of allyship and fostering everyday inclusion. Our future plans include developing and expanding our Pride Toolkit to enable pubs to actively participate in local pride events.
How can you get involved?
After joining Greene King all team members get access to our internal communications platform, Kingdom where they can join our groups so that they can interact, share ideas and feedback on activity and progress.
