Fundraising
We’re incredibly proud of our long-standing partnership with Switchboard, the UK’s national LGBTQ+ support line.
Through fundraising across Greene King and the brilliant support of our teams and customers, Village Greene has continued to raise significant funds for the charity – including another £50,000 in 2026. Our partnership is about more than fundraising. Switchboard helps us create conversations, build understanding and give our teams access to expertise from an organisation that has supported the LGBTQ+ community for more than 50 years.
Creating conversations
Throughout the year we bring LGBTQ+ voices and stories into Greene King through events, conversations and our Village Greene Pubcasts.
We’ve welcomed speakers and organisations from across the community to talk openly about lived experience, allyship and the issues that matter to LGBTQ+ people. These conversations are an important part of helping everyone across Greene King learn, ask questions and become better allies.
Building inclusion every day
Alongside our events and campaigns, Village Greene works with teams across Greene King to help influence policies, guidance, learning and colleague experience.
From supporting greater understanding of pronouns and gender identity to championing allyship and everyday inclusion, we want LGBTQ+ inclusion to be part of how we do things every day.
Future Aspirations
We want The Village Greene to keep growing its impact across Greene King. Our focus is on reaching more of our pub teams, strengthening our partnership with Switchboard, creating more opportunities for LGBTQ+ voices to be heard and giving our people practical tools to make inclusion happen locally.
We’ll also continue to celebrate Pride – while making sure our work goes far beyond one month of the year. Because inclusion isn't just something we talk about. It's something we create together every day.
How can you get involved?
Once you join Greene King, you can become part of the Village Greene community through Kingdom, our internal communications platform. You can join the group, hear about upcoming events and activity, share ideas, learn from others and get involved in making a difference. And you don't have to identify as LGBTQ+ to join us. Allies are a hugely important part of Village Greene – and everyone is welcome.
