Job description

Responsible for maintaining the execution, direction and co-ordination of all warehouse related matters within the Warehouse.

Qualifications

Your role as Warehouse Manager 

  • Ensure the warehouse department is adhering to all compliance/regulations
  • Overall responsibility for departmental HSQE ensuring issues are managed through to correction
  • Ensure stock checks are completed accurately and on time
  • Ensure all audit results are within agreed targets
  • Line management responsibility for Warehouse Team Leaders, Stock Controller, Export Controller and Customer Team Member.
  • Manage successful recruitment/induction/training of new starters
  • Conduct exit interviews with all leavers and complete relevant documentation
  • Support the DC Manager to identify areas of opportunity/improvement within the warehouse department/DC
  • Ensure a standard approach to best practice across all sites
  • Drive the continuous improvement agenda for the warehouse department
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure problems are resolved in a timely manner
  • Ensure on time and in full targets are exceeded
  • Effectively manage supplier/customer relationships in line with business standards
  • Manage departmental budget in line with targets and account for any differences
  • Drive cost saving initiatives within the warehouse department

What you’ll bring… 

  • Experienced people manager with a track record of developing teams

  • Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety procedures/legislation

  • Warehousing experience in a fast moving FMCG environment

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels both internally and externally

  • Strong planning, organisational and time management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Excel

  • Ability to lead, motivate and engage a multi-disciplined team

  • Flexible to meet business needs and be able to make quick decisions in a fast paced environment

  • Must demonstrate a methodical approach with a good attention to detail

  • Drive, enthusiasm and a positive attitude

  • Able to apply confidentiality as required

  • Flexible to work hours required to complete key tasks

  • Be resilient under pressure and demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to deliver commercial results when confronted with unforeseen work demands

  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities

  • Excellent problem solving skills
