Job Description

This role is a Manager (M2) Career Band

Your Role as Supply Chain Manager 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Manager to oversee and manage our 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) open book contract operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and cost-effective logistics and supply chain processes, maintaining strong relationships with our 3PL providers, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery.

3PL Management:

  • Monitor 3PL performance metrics, including on-time delivery, accuracy, product availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and audits of 3PL providers.
  • Resolve any operational issues and escalate as necessary.

Supply Chain Optimisation:

  • Analyse and improve supply chain processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs, aligned with a Pub first approach.
  • Develop and maintain supply chain risk management strategies.

 Stakeholder Communication:

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on supply chain performance.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations, interfacing with Trade Channels to support growth & innovation.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, ensuring delivery to plan and budget, whilst ensuring no impact to service.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency.

New Menus and Key Events Planning:

  • Ensure the successful planning and execution of new menus and key events, such as Christmas, from an operational standpoint.
  • Ensure all recycling is collected according to the schedule within the North/South Supply Chain.
  • Oversee and manage brand swaps and investments to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery from a North/South Supply Chain perspective.

Team

  • Oversee a team of supply chain coordinators, focusing on their development and growth plans.

What you'll bring.....

  • Previous experience in supply chain management, with demonstrable experience managing 3PL providers.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Proven experience in managing open book contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and lead team through major events and complex projects
  • FMCG Multi-temp Supply chain experience.
