Job Description
In your role as Quantity Surveyor you will...
- Working internally with a team of Greene King Project Managers, Head’s of Property, Procurement Managers, Brand Managers and Financial Analysts, along with a wide range of external consultants, contractors and suppliers
- You will gain an understanding of the Greene King way of working, and establish a route to drive down cost whilst maximising the benefit achieved for our customers from our investments
The role is National and field based and will require a blend of time in our offices, in trade with Project Managers and Consultants, and visiting our Quantity Surveyors and Contractors giving you the flexibility to manage your own time.
What you'll bring ...
- As a self-motivated person you will look for ways to manage, maximise and reduce the cost to invest across the Greene King portfolio
- Your ability to build relationships at pace, allowing to swiftly get into the detail of multiple project workstreams, understanding the key cost parameters, and identifying opportunities to explore to drive benefit through negotiation, economy of scale, Tender, and other efficiency areas
- Experience of working with, or in a fast-paced Investment portfolio business in Retail or Hospitality as a Quantity Surveyor would be useful but not essential
- An understanding of high level cost of goods, materials, and labour to allow immediate assessment and identification of opportunity to improve cost efficiency.
