Purchasing Planner

As a Purchasing Planner you will manage a portfolio of categories and suppliers within our brewing division. You will support the Purchasing Manager with reporting, tenders and must have the ability to understand market conditions to enable you to assist with the development of strategies that maximise value across Greene King. Working as part of a wider Supply Chain and Purchasing team you will be joining a fast paced environment with a focus on innovation and sustainability.

Your role as Purchasing Planner

• Ensure suppliers deliver performance in all categories and best value is obtained
• Work with suppliers to drive innovation, whilst ensuring cost savings and mitigating cash spend
• Support stakeholders to get the best service from suppliers
• Review and understand all categories enabling the development of clear strategies
• Work with finance to ensure appropriate reporting and impacts are communicated
• Maintain clear concise business communication around market intelligence to enable correct purchasing decisions
• Minimise and manage all supplier risks to Greene King
• Attend operational meetings and manage supplier relationships

What you’ll bring…  

• Previous experience of working in a Purchasing environment
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use Excel
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• The ability to plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
• Experience of working to budgets
• Drive to ensure consistent standards and attention to detail
