Job description
An exciting opportunity to join us as a Pub Finance Assistant working 4 days a week in our Bury St Edmunds offices on a hybrid working basis. Your role will be a customer services based role responding to customers over the telephone and via email. As the first point of contact for our pubs & hotels you will help to resolve finance related queries and support local suppliers in processing their payments. Working as part of a a team of 11, you will play a key part in providing a high standard of customer service via the phone or case management software to our Pub/Hotel General Managers, and occasionally supporting the Pub Finance Team Leader with ad-hoc tasks.

Location: Bury St Edmunds
Part time: 29 hours per week (4 days a week)
Your role as Pub Finance Assistant
- Answer phone calls within agree timescales and provide answers to supplier/pub queries
Respond to emails within two working days and provide answers to supplier/pub queries
First line of support for our pubs General Managers and 3rd party suppliers with systems/financial queries
Ensuring Pub/Hotel Manager compliance to the appropriate timescales for approval process
Support our local suppliers in using Concur Request to process their invoices and receive payment
To assist with day to day team tasks & projects as required. These may include: Balance sheet reconciliations, Reconciliation of revenue and banking’s, Reconciliation and verification of House expenditure claims ensuring compliance to HM Revenue & Customs regulations on VAT, any other ad-hoc work required by the team
What you’ll bring…
Good interpersonal skills and delivery of customer service with proven experience of dealing with a wide variety of customers on the telephone. The ability to communicate at all levels of the business
