As Process Improvement Manager (12 month fixed term contract) you will be working as part of the Finance Shared Services (FSS) department, you'll be managing a portfolio of change projects to deliver enhanced business processes, system changes and ways of working. Developing a business-wide network to stay abreast of process challenges and propose effective improvements. Providing day to day support to the Process Improvement Senior Manager and Shared Services Director with ad-hoc analysis tasks.

Job Description

Your role as a Process Improvement Manager...

  • Working across teams within the FSS to identify potential improvements in systems / processes and then deliver these changes in partnership with internal/external stakeholders
  • Creating business cases with relevant FSS managers where system changes require budget sign off
  • Liaising with wider business teams to discuss FSS service levels and opportunities in ways of working
  • Working closing with IT team to deliver system changes
  • Preparing testing and implementation plans for new systems and processes
  • Preparing communication plans for larger project roll outs
  • Developing training material and providing training / support during roll out of new initiatives
  • Troubleshooting day to day problems with systems / Automated Tasks / Processes to support the staff in FSS
  • Automation of manual tasks and processes within finance
  • Working with the Ops Excellence team to support changes in Pubs
  • Working with the FSS Dartboard team to identify opportunities for improvements

Technical/Professional Expertise Required:

  • Demonstrable experience of identifying and implementing process improvements, saving significant time and cost
  • Advanced user of Excel and Cognos BI tools
  • Confident user of VBA and able to troubleshoot code issues
  • Strong working knowledge of at least one major ERP or integrated accounting package. Knowledge of Aurora would be a distinct advantage.
  • Accounting/finance experience. Qualified/part qualified accountant is desirable.
  • Experience of testing and implementing new software and changes to software
  • Ability to use automation tools such as Power Query, Power Automate, Python etc would be a distinct advantage.
