Job description

This role is an integral part of the Finance Shared Services management team. Managing a team of 6 to produce accurate and timely consolidated accounts and all supporting business information including balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, as efficiently as possible, for the business unit along with various adhoc projects.

Qualifications

Your role as R2R Manager 

  • Production of Management accounts for Corporate and Unlicensed Business Units
  • Timely and accurate production of Corporate and Unlicensed KPI’s along with reconciling Tagetik
  • Balance Sheet integrity ensuring that no un-actioned differences remain within any balance sheet control accounts
  • Reporting and monitoring of cross entity postings
  • Accurate and timely calculation of Securitisation & Debenture recharges
  • Delivery of accurate VAT returns (2 VAT groups)
  • Ensuring compliance with company policy for expenses
  • Equip the team to deliver excellent customer service to agreed Service Levels 
  • Driving a culture within the team and across the FCoE to constantly challenging ways of working and enhancing processes, along with providing support to wider FCoE projects as required.
  • Responsible ensuring timely completion of the balance sheet reporting pack and dashboard
  • Responsible for driving correct entity postings at source through continual monitoring and re-education of the business
  • Part of the Balance Sheet quarterly review meeting with the CFO
  • Support with the review of Daily Treasury
  • Liaise with external auditors – key contact for FCoE CBS R2R, ensuring the team send deliverables according to the audit timetable
  • Manage a portfolio of projects to drive continuous improvements within FCoE.
  • Building an excellent working relationship with the business unit Finance Directors and Financial Controllers and their teams
  • Recruitment, development, performance management of all direct reports, conducting appraisals and regular one to ones
  • Deputise for the R2R Senior Manager as necessary

What you’ll bring… 

  • Advanced user of Excel, BI tools, and Access
  • Working knowledge of at least one major ERP or integrated accounting package.
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Experience of testing and implementing new software
  • Large company experience is desired
  • Knowledge of the retail and hospitality industry is an advantage.
  • Experience working in practice an advantage
  • Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
