Primary Distribution Shunter

As a Primary Distribution Shunter, you play a vital role in our logistics team, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products to various destinations. Your reliability and professionalism are evident from the moment you embark on your journey, guaranteeing a timely and flawless movement of beer, wines, and spirits and supporting products in and around the Bury St Edmunds area. The working hours are 40 hours per week between Monday and Friday with paid breaks, operating on a weekly rotating roster (6am to 2pm, 12pm to 8pm).

Your role as a Primary Distribution Shunter

• Conduct daily vehicle and trailer checks to ensure safe and legal operational conditions. 

• Maintain vehicles, trailers, and associated equipment at a compliant safety level. 

• Prepare and transport various loads over short distances in the Bury St Edmunds area while adhering to driver-hours regulations adhering to driver-hours regulations. 

• Prioritise health and safety guidelines, ensuring excellent customer service throughout operations.

• Hold a Class 1 (C+E) driving licence & Full Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
