Hours: Monday to Friday (approx. 25 hours per week)
We’re looking for a reliable Pot Wash/Kitchen Porter to join our team. Shifts typically start at 5pm and finish around 10pm, depending on how busy the day is. During sunnier periods, start times may be brought forward to 4pm.
About the Role:
A Pot Wash (also known as a Kitchen Porter or Kitchen Assistant) plays a vital role in keeping a professional kitchen running smoothly. Responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, they support the kitchen team and assist with basic food preparation (if needed). This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that is essential to the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Washing-Up & Cleaning: Clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment in line with hygiene standards.
Cleaning Work Areas & Equipment: Sanitise work surfaces, floors and appliances to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Assisting with Desserts: During busier period we may need assistance with making desserts, this isn't as tough as it sounds. Everything is done for you, they will just need plating.
General Cleaning Duties: Sweep, mop and manage waste, including emptying bins and replacing liners at the end of every night.
Supporting the Kitchen Team: Assist chefs with various tasks including setting up workstations and keeping supplies organised.
