Company Description

As a Payroll Team Leader you will manage a team of Payroll Administrators and support the wider Payroll team in paying all of our team members accurately and on time across our two four weekly payrolls. You will support the Payroll Manager with the more complex elements of the Payroll process, as well as supporting the team with their tasks. You'll line manage and develop a team of 5-6 Payroll Administrators with varying levels of experience.

Job Description

Your role as Payroll Team Leader

  • Manage and develop a team of 5-6 Payroll Administrators.

  • Carry out more complex elements of the Payroll process, playing a key role in paying our team members accurately and on time.

  • Support the Payroll Manager in compiling / reviewing metrics and maintaining/improving standards across the team

  • Helping the team learn new tasks and being a first point of escalation for trouble shooting

  • Ensuring the team's tasks are completed to a high standard

What you’ll bring… 

  • A high level of Payroll knowledge backed up by a CIPP qualification
  • 5+ years' in a high volume Payroll team

  • Previous line management experience

  • Ability to work at pace with a high attention to detail

  • A good working knowledge of the Greene King Payroll process (preferred but not essential)

  • A can-do attitude, and a passion for developing a team
