Job description

As a Cost Manager, you will oversee and manage all cost aspects of investment projects and repairs, ensuring cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, finance teams, contractors, and stakeholders to optimise costs and maximise profitability.

Qualifications

As Cost Manager, you will…

  • Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems to monitor and report Investment Project and Repair Costs.
  • Analyse contractor and supplier pricing submissions to ensure value for money and alignment with the schedule of rates.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for projects (repairs).
  • Track and report on cost performance, identifying risks, variances, and opportunities for savings.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate project costing and service delivery.

What you’ll bring…

  • Strong understanding of cost control techniques and audit procedures.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Proven experience in cost management, cost control, or financial analysis within relevant industries.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and contract management is a plus.
