Lead Architect

Our Lead Architect will shape the Greene King digital solutions architecture vision as part of our digital transformation journey that we are embarking on.  You will support the implementation of quality technical solutions that create business opportunities and maximise business benefits through careful optimisation of system, business process (including continuous improvement) and management information changes. 

There will be high levels of collaboration between technical and non-technical teams to shape, document and recommend the best approach to any given challenge

The role is a Senior Manager (M1 career band).

In your role as Lead Architect you will...

• Help to define and shape the digital technology strategy, target architecture and technology roadmap
• Be accountable for the design of new digital applications and services to embed a leading digital culture and capability
• Manage partner technical relationships to provide direction, governance, and support for an efficient delivery of digital products
• Support product teams by researching and recommending pragmatic technical solutions; highlighting any technical considerations for solution delivery
• Help align the teams in digital technology to work towards a simpler, more manageable digital estate by understanding all the moving parts and working out the sequence of change over time that will take us there (roadmap planning)
• Look to develop architecture processes that align to agile delivery processes
• Create and maintain design viewpoints that show the detailed workings of the digital architecture landscape

What you'll bring...

• Certification in architecture methods e.g. TOGAF or equivalent
• Experience in third party supplier management
• Experience of working within a framework of IT Governance, Technical Design Authority and Change Advisory Boards
• Deep technical experience of various key software/hardware technologies, cloud, cyber, CRM, Microsoft development tools and ecosystem including .NET, API and microservice frameworks and patterns, Azure, AWS, Mobile app technologies, hosting platforms/SaaS/IaaS/PaaS offerings, Big Data solutions and storage
• Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
