Finance Analyst

As a Finance Analyst you will play a key role in supporting the Metropolitan Finance team in driving the performance and growth of the pub estate.  This role provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced commercial facing role within an established forward-thinking business.  This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a great team on a hybrid working basis (50% office based/50% home working) from our London office

Your role as Finance Analyst

• Daily, weekly and periodic reporting of key metrics including sales, margin and volumes
• Create financial models for drinks and food proposals to ensure transparency on margin and profitability
• Gain an in-depth understanding of margin and profitability on food menu items
• Complete the financial and commercial evaluation of discount and promotions proposals
• Provide timely, accurate and clearly communicated financial analysis and reporting as required to support delivery of key business initiatives
• Develop effective working relationships with the MPCo Food and Drink team, including trade visits and time in sites with the Pub teams
• Support on the delivery of the Metro annual budget, reforecasts and Strategic Plan submissions

What you’ll bring…

• Part qualified accountant or studying towards a formal accountancy qualification
• Intermediate level excel skills, experience with Cognos beneficial
• Inquisitive with strong analytical skills
