THIS IS FIELD BASED ROLE -- IDEALLY BASED NORTH WEST YORKSHIRE
As an Apprentice Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting a Regional Surveyor initially for a 6 month period in ensuring the pubs within a designated region of our Managed Pub Estate comply with relevant statutory obligations and are maintained in accordance with agreed Company and Divisional standards. The Apprentice will then gain an increasing number and area of pubs to manage with a Property Surveyor shadowing their action and giving support.

In your role as Apprentice Building Surveyor you will be….
- Assist in carrying out building surveying duties as directed within a defined geography on a diverse range of managed pubs
- Liaise with the Operations teams, to provide technical advice and expertise on repairs and maintenance
- Create proactive maintenance solutions to improve service and reduce cost
- Assist a Regional Surveyor in directing a team of outsourced support service providers including quarterly KPI review meetings
- Ensure compliance with GK policies and statutory requirements.
- Assist the Regional Surveyors with statutory compliance responsibilities (fire risk assessments, asbestos etc.) Signing off compliance works, assisting in managing and scheduling works
What you’ll bring…
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, both verbally and written
- Strong organisation skills to manage a diverse workload, delivering to deadlines which may involve regular travel

- Minimum of 3 A levels at Grade B or above or their equivalent; or
- A level 3 apprenticeship in a construction or property related discipline
- 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English
- Hold a full UK driver licence
