Company Description

As a Workplace Investigator you will work as part of a dynamic team responsible for investigating concerns involving alleged breaches of our Code of Conduct & our Ethics and policies. That may include sensitive cases of alleged discrimination, harassment, workplace bullying, and other misconduct issues.

You will be able to comprehensively carry out an investigation, delivering a detailed and prompt outcome. Ensuring that a full and fair process has been followed.  You will be able to provide relevant background research where appropriate to support the rationale. You will be able to collaborate effectively with but not limited to the Employee Relations Team, HR Business partners, Operational teams, and Legal team

Additionally, this role will work as part of a team to develop and deliver analysis of investigation findings and results, deliver training, building insight to shape procedures, policies and best practices. Helping to build trust, understanding and transparency and instil confidence in Greene King doing the right thing.

Job Description

Your role as Workplace Investigator 

  • Conduct confidential internal investigations into allegations of whistle-blowing, violations of internal policies, across the business including but not limited to bullying, discrimination, harassment, retaliation and produce comprehensive and clear investigation reports and/or outcomes.
  • Prepare high quality written reports of the investigation which provide a clear and logical account of the allegations, investigative work performed, key findings and conclusions. 
  • Hold case reviews of other high-profile investigations
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships in the face of conflicting demands or directions and provide evidence-based conclusion and recommendation on sound diagnosis and information.

What you’ll bring… 

  • Communication - clear, simple, unambiguous, well-structured verbal and written communication, and confident in dealing with all areas and levels within our business.

  • Issue & conflict resolution – take in information quickly and accurately and work within process guidelines to propose solutions to problems.

  • The ability to recognise and put aside personal biases, to see different perspectives, and to conduct investigations in an objective manner
  • Ability to be flexible on work location based on the needs of live investigations

  • Experience in Ethics, ER, HR or workplace investigations with sound decision making & the ability to influence.

  • Either a legal background/legally trained, or CIPD Level 5 preferred (or willingness to work towards it) and mediation trained (or willingness to work towards it).
