Warehouse Team Leader

The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role involves leading a team of warehouse staff, coordinating workflows, maintaining safety and quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The main working hours for this role will be Monday – Friday 08:00-16:00, however flexibility will be key to this role in providing holiday & sickness cover to the following Team Leaders shifts. Sunday – Thursday 22:00-06:00, Monday – Friday 06:00-14:00 & Monday – Friday 14:00-22:00.

Your role as Warehouse Team Leader

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.
• Ensure daily targets and productivity KPIs are met.
• Allocate tasks and monitor performance to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
• Oversee receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching processes.
• Enforce health and safety standards and ensure team compliance.
• Train and mentor new and existing team members.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., transport, inventory, customer service).
• Handle basic administrative tasks such as shift planning, reporting, and documentation.

What you’ll bring… 

• Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of warehouse procedures and best practices.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Basic computer literacy (e.g., MS Office, WMS software).
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
• Forklift licence
