Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Waiting Staff to join our team in Rochester, United Kingdom. As a vital part of our front-of-house team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a memorable dining experience.

  • Greet and seat guests, providing a warm and friendly welcome
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately, offering menu recommendations when appropriate
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and timing
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens
  • Process payments and handle cash and card transactions accurately
  • Ensure tables are promptly cleared and reset for incoming guests
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and address any guest concerns
  • Maintain a clean and tidy dining area, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures as required

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays of food and drinks
  • Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
  • Willingness to learn and expand skills in the hospitality industry
  • Positive can-do attitude and ability to work effectively in a team
