Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Waiting Staff to join our team in Rochester, United Kingdom. As a vital part of our front-of-house team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a memorable dining experience.
- Greet and seat guests, providing a warm and friendly welcome
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, offering menu recommendations when appropriate
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and timing
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens
- Process payments and handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Ensure tables are promptly cleared and reset for incoming guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and address any guest concerns
- Maintain a clean and tidy dining area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as required
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays of food and drinks
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
- Willingness to learn and expand skills in the hospitality industry
- Positive can-do attitude and ability to work effectively in a team
