Job description

As a Supply Chain Finance Business Partner you will partner with the Supply Chain team and provide insight and analysis that supports decision making to bring value to Greene King through the Supply Chain function. This is a full time, permanent role that can be performed from any location in the UK, as long as you are willing to travel to our head office/distribution centres when required.

Qualifications

Your role as Supply Chain Finance Business Partner 

  • Understands the strategy of the business and the operational deliverables which support it
  • Understands Group Supply Chain’s business streams, the context of their role within the organisation and comprehends the value to other parts of the business (i.e. Pub divisions)
  • Interrogates and interprets complex financial transactions and principles, translating them into the drivers of operational performance.
  • Able to create data driven financial models for supply chain scenarios to support business decisions
  • Able to evaluate and provide commentary on operations performance against agreed key performance indicators and to be the first line of sign off for period close, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the result.
  • Ownership of the process for calculating supply chain recharges and the implications on movements on business performance
  • Detailed understanding of operational overheads and efficiencies and able to identify potential opportunities to mitigate increases
  • Collaborate with sustainability and compliance teams to integrate ESG factors into financial reporting and analysis
  • Operational budget/forecast setting as part of the wider business process, track ongoing progress and provide regular updated projections of performance as a basis for decision making 
  • Provide analysis and insight into the short & long term outturn for submission to FP&A, Central Finance etc
  • Preparation of various periodic reports (eg, (Performance reviews etc)
  • Ensures robust financial governance within the operational function together with adherence to the wider Group’s policies.
  • Challenge the operations team to maximise working capital
  • Participate and bring financial insight and governance into project teams as required
  • Attend and participate in operations meetings (eg Internal with GK depots, External with Third Party providers, Inventory teams) and deliver presentations as required
  • Regular travel to head offices in Bury St Edmunds / Burton-on-Trent, Distribution Centres and Pub Estate

What you’ll bring… 

  • Part qualified / qualified CIMA, ACCA
  • Experience of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel)
  • Experience of using Cognos
  • Experience of using PowerBI
  • Preferred experience of Supply Chain (i.e. Distribution, Inventory etc) reporting
  • Able to build and maintain excellent relationships
  • Confident communicator and able to communicate at all levels of seniority both internally and externally
  • Able to work autonomously to plan and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines
  • Capable of coaching, listening, developing others independently
  • Able to delegate effectively to achieve results
  • Makes decisions with confidence, and takes action based on those decisions
