Job description

The Corporate and Strategic Finance team partners with the CEO, CFO, COO and CXO, and their respective teams. The team consists of high-performing finance professionals who, in addition to providing technical expertise and setting policy in the fields of Tax, Treasury and External reporting, support and drive the business in Property, Procurement, Operational Excellence and strategic projects, whilst business partnering the Corporate Functions. The overall team is further responsible for setting the Group planning agenda and strategic plan and driving the results to balance the needs of the business and the shareholder.

Qualifications

Run budget / re-forecasting process for the Group (including the consolidation) 

  • Run 5YP Strat Planning process for GK Group  

  • Oversight of weekly trading report which is sent to CK & GK Exec 

  • Analyse and interpret competitor results for the GK Exec  

  • Oversight and ownership of period-end as well as CFO Board Pack including the verification of cash flow, working capital understanding and wider integrity of the Dartboard 

  • Support HR in the setting and tracking of targets for group bonus, and LTIPs  

  • Owner of the financial segments of the dartboard 

Projects  

  • Assist in wider group strategy projects as required. 

  • Explore the use of new rolling forecast system and/or planning system for the Group 

  • Assist with further embedding processes in the COE 

Corporate  

  • Accountability for the Corporate Head Office cost centres (both actuals and forecasting) 

  • Lead the business partnering relationship with the CFO / CXO / IT Director and be point of contact to Corporate BU01 stakeholders 

  • Understand the complete functional financial position (.i.e. liaise with Property and COO to ensure there is a complete view of the functional position) 

  • Provide financial support (where required) for group cost saving initiatives 

 

Developing Self and Others  

  • Direct responsibility for the line management and personal development of two reports 

  • Ensure customer-centric focus and high levels of service (internal & external)  

  • Continue to develop own talents and strengths and address any areas of self-development 

  • Prioritise workload and allocate accordingly to drive value-add activity, triaging requests as appropriate and setting the agenda to the team
