To support, challenge and drive the Sustainability agenda for Greene King, both owning key aspects of Greene King’s Sustainability compliance and supporting the business to drive high impact investment into Sustainability initiatives. The role interacts principally with the Director of Sustainability and the Sustainability team, but is also expected to interact and influence across the wider business.
The Senior Finance Manager – Sustainability is the Greene King expert for Climate related Financial Disclosures, calculates emissions footprinting (including forecast and actuals) and owns the Sustainability data platform.

Qualifications
Your role as Senior Finance Manager
- Own the calculation of Greene King’s emissions footprint annually for the annual report, allowing for enough detail to take action where needed. Further, improve the data quality and accuracy of the calculated footprint by supporting the Sustainability team.
- Support the Sustainability Director in the creation of budgets, forecasts and strategic plans, owning all associated financial models and scenario planning.
- Own the future emissions reduction model, working with the Sustainability team to keep an up to date forecast of Greene King’s emissions reduction path and provide scenario planning for any decarbonisation strategies.
- Own the Climate related Financial Disclosures (CFD) exercise for Greene King, ensuring that Greene King is not only compliant with legislation in its annual report, but is also embedding identified risks into the wider businesses ways of working and risk registers.
- Own the Sustainability KPIs, providing accurate and timely reporting each month for the Sustainability team, EBM update and quarterly for the Steerco. These KPIs are constantly evolving, so the Senior Finance Manager – Sustainability will be expected to continually work to improve them.
What you’ll bring…
- Qualified accountant (preferable), with experience of working in a multi-site business and significant experience
