Job description

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for scoping out project from the beginning and ensuring they align with Greene King's strategic goals and operational excellence. Your day to day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing timelines and budgets and proactively solving problems. You'll support your team by providing clear direction, removing obstacles.

Qualifications

​​​​​​In your role as Project Manager you will...

  • Strategic Project Management – project planned and execution with the ability to develop detailed project plans, scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables, whilst ensuring effective execution and tracking project success. Capability to manage multiple projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, resource allocation, and prioritization based on business value
  • Cross Function Collaboration – interdepartmental communication and the skills to facilitate this, ensuring relevant stakeholders stay engaged through project lifecycles. Team building to create and nurture a cohesive team environment, fostering collaboration, trust and accountability
  • Change Management – organizational change expertise with knowledge and skills to manage change processes, including preparing teams for change, addressing resistance and ensuring smooth transition of projects to BAU. Proficiency in identifying and engaging stakeholders, understanding their needs and effectively communicating benefits and impacts of strategic projects
  • Governance and Compliance with the ability to establish and maintain a governance framework that outlines roles, responsibilities and decision-making process for project delivery (including regulatory and compliance knowledge
  • Financial Acumen for project budget development, monitor of expenditure, conduct financial analysis to ensure projects are delivered within budget and maximizing ROI. Cost benefits analysis to evaluate financial implications of project decisions and assess economic viability of proposed initiatives

What you’ll bring… 

  • Experienced in delivering commercially focused projects for a fast paced, high growth, complex business, ideally in a retail and/or wholesale environment (but not essential), with projects that cut across multiple operating companies
  • Proficient in successfully running cross functional projects with a commercial focus, demonstrating stakeholder management and the ability to influence at all levels
  • A hands-on leader with strong communication and relationship skills, with demonstrable experience of establishing and managing cross functional project teams
  • Able to understand and establish business requirements and create structured plans over the short and long term
  • An experienced Project Manager who can hit the ground running, with the ability to deliver software solutions as well as people and progress change
