Portfolio Planning Analyst FTC

• Produce timely, accurate, strategic and commercial reviews and value added insights to drive the delivery of the corporate capital plan for pub investment / asset swap / transfer opportunities.
• Influence key Property and Operational stakeholders to make estate development decisions based on sound asset segmentation recommendations
• Analyse pub catchments demographic profiling to help define the best use of each Greene King assets working closely with the financial and operational teams
• Conduct Competitor reviews in line with strategic planning using CGA/ Experian data
• Ensure analysis and recommendations are robust by using a full range of appropriate tools, analytic techniques and input from other areas/ divisions within GK (e.g. bespoke customer analysis, post investment reviews, sensitivities, customer research, Financial Appraisals, etc.).

Provide ad hoc analysis as required.

Supports and influences Estate Reviews and segmentation work and Investment planning processes in line with the Asset Optimisation strategic goals and annual capex planning processes.

Using location planning / demographic expertise to provide insight and recommendations for the investment programme through integrating location surveys, geographic expertise and sales / customer trends.

Core Areas of Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Excellent analytical skills.  Able to synthesise and analyse a wide variety of data while keeping customer needs top of mind.  Recognition that the customer is at the heart of all capital investment decisions.
• Strong technical skills, especially in Excel.
• Able to present analysis and recommendations in a logical, concise way for senior stakeholders across the Greene King business

• Core knowledge of GIS, e.g. functionality and systems capabilities. Ideally experience of GIS / econometric modelling

• Ability to integrate quantitative and qualitative information (Insights feedback, customer research & financial data etc.) to support investment decisions.
• Ability to challenge, stretch and develop existing methodologies and approaches beyond BAU
• Structured approach to work with clear deadline focus. Good planning, organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Strong working knowledge of the pub market, Greene King brands and competitors

Qualifications:

• Batchelors degree, ideally in Geography, Economics, or Town Planning (preferable but not essential)
• Experience working in Property / hospitality industry (preferable but not essential)
• Clean driving licence
