As the PMO Analyst for Operational Excellence, you will provide critical analysis and insights of the Operational Excellence Project Portfolio at all levels, offering recommended action to ensure an ambitious but balanced delivery roadmap can be achieved. You will be responsible for ensuring our projects are delivered to a high standard, by gathering key data from cross-functional partners, and throughout the lifecycle of our projects, ensuring projects are controlled through audit, and providing visibility across the Portfolio for the Operational Excellence steering committee and Divisional stakeholders, offering support and expertise where required.

Job Description

In your role as PMO Analyst you will....

  • Work closely with the Operational Excellence Lead to understand the content and delivery of the Operational Excellence cross-functional task and its constituent projects
  • Preparing Portfolio data for tracking and analysis and highlight Portfolio risks and opportunities driven from the in-flight pipeline
  • Supporting the Operational Excellence Lead in reporting and forecasting resources required to deliver the Operational Excellence pipeline, including people and budget.
  • Supporting the analysis of the project pipeline ahead of prioritisation.
  • Providing input for the Operational Excellence Director to drive Operational Excellence Steering committee meetings 
  • Working with Finance business partner to ensure costs and benefits are tracked and reported periodically
  • Assisting in the implementation and embedding of the Operational Excellence programme processes and methods
  • Ensuring all projects are engaging the right stakeholder and are receiving the appropriate approvals throughout the process, through existing forums such as Air Traffic Control, Operational and Marketing surgeries

  • Strong and experienced analysis and critical thinking skills
  • Well-organised, with good prioritisation skills and proactive self-management
  • Effective delegation and management
  • Able to set and communicate clear stakeholder requirements, and manage delivery to these
  • Continuous Improvement mentality – progress over perfection
  • Knowledge of project management tools and techniques and experience of using specific project management software an advantage
  • Knowledge of fiscal planning and business case development
  • Experience of collating, summarising and presenting information, with different purposes for different audiences
