Company Description

The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for curating, driving and embedding excellent learning solutions, acting as an ambassador for the division both internally and externally, through delivering engaging and impactful L&D solutions for all in Hotel teams. You will also work closely within the wider central HR team on shaping, influencing, and embedding the centrally managed and driven Learning and Development programmes as part of the (Group People plan). 

Greene King’s newly formed hotel business, Venture Hotels, have a 5-year plan that will see 39 of our properties reimagined into boutique hotels, accompanied by a fresh food menu, we will give our residents a luxurious place to relax and unwind. As such we are looking for someone to create and deliver training for our new brands whilst ensuring continuous improvement for our existing hotel teams. 

Please note, this is a field-based role with frequent travel required.

Job Description

  • Ownership and accountability of the learning experience for all in Hotel teams.
  • Accountable for development and implementation of the divisional learning strategy.
  • Supporting an ongoing reduction in 90-day turnover by ensuring right-fit learning throughout induction journey
  • Working with the Solutions Team to design, develop and implement learning requirements for the division

Qualifications

  • Great at building relationships and influencing at all levels, internal and external, through listening and adjusting communication style to meet the needs of the audience
  • Always seeking to improve quality and service for our internal / external stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of hospitality or retail operations
  • Experience of working in a consultative capacity offering specialist advice and coaching on the end to end recruitment cycle
  • Ability to partner Operations Manager/Director to develop ‘best in class’ operations team
