To be an integral part of the Group Supply Chain (GSC) Management Team, partner with the GSC management team and leading the GSC finance team to drive value for Greene King.

Qualifications

Your role as Finance Lead

  • Leading role in developing the strategy of Group Supply Chain and the required operational deliverables to deliver it.  These then to be reflected in the supporting financial modelling and delivered of balanced dartboard.  
  • Lead and coordinate the Supply Chain Finance team to ensure their success in supporting the ops team, delivering their goals and long-term personal development.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure collaborative working.
  • Lead the strat plan, budget and forecast process for Group Supply Chain in line with the overall business objectives.
  • Articulate and understand the value of the business streams in Group Supply Chain within the organisation and comprehend the impact to other parts of the business (i.e. Pub divisions).
  • Able to evaluate and provide commentary on GSC against agreed key performance indicators and sign off period close, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the result.
  • Manage the financial reporting of GSC through Risks and Opportunities with the GSC management team
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations on business cases for project delivery to ensure compliance with 5-year Strat Plan.
  • Ensure financial management and governance of Third-Party contract in Group Supply Chain including evaluation of Gainshare initiatives and tracking performance of contract against KPIs. Be the first point of GK Finance sign off for contractually committed gain share reviews.
  • Collaborate with sustainability and compliance teams to integrate ESG factors into financial reporting and analysis.
  • Able to create data driven financial models for supply chain scenarios to make recommendations on business decisions
  • Preparation of Board and EBM updates to the GK Exec.
  • Ensures robust financial governance within the operational function together with adherence to the wider Group’s policies.
  • Challenge the operations team to maximise both cost efficiencies and working capital.
  • Lead and participate in management meetings (eg GSC Management Team Meeting, External QBRs with Third Party providers, GSC Performance reviews) and deliver presentations as required.

What you’ll bring… 

  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships cross functionally flexing personnel style as required.
  • Able to effectively understand the business area, provide critical challenge and drive value for Greene King.
  • Confident communicator and able to communicate at all levels of seniority both internally and externally.
  • Capable of leading, coaching, listening, developing others independently.
  • Able to work autonomously to plan and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines.
  • Able to delegate effectively to achieve results.
  • Makes decisions with confidence, and acts based on those decisions.
  • Recognises impact of decisions across Greene King and takes ownership of outcomes.
  • Able to assess impact of decision on wider business and overall value to Greene King.
  • Qualified CIMA, ACCA
  • Experience of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel)
  • Experience of using Cognos
  • Experience of using PowerBI
  • Preferred experience of Supply Chain (i.e. Distribution, Inventory etc) reporting however not essential.
