As a Finance Assistant based in Bury St Edmunds you will be responsible for supporting the Franchise team within Pub Partners business unit with administration of a variety of Franchisee invoicing and queries. The candidate will follow timely and accurate processes, working cross-functional with Operations and Payment teams, plus elements of Period End close.

Your role as a Finance Assistant
The role will be varied and may change with the requirements of a fast moving and growing Leased and Tenanted and Franchise pub business, however responsibilities will include:
- Self Billing – Ensuring all data on the Pub Supplier List is correct and accurate ahead of weekly invoicing, updating stock and cash recharges information for timely deductions to be made, and ensuring that the weekly invoicing cycle is completed successfully.
- Creation of new sites/suppliers – Ensuring that new sites are set up to be able to be invoiced weekly (manually if need be), handling ingoing fees and monitoring who has/hasn’t paid.
- Period end accounts – ensuring that any recharges that have been deducted from fees are journalled to the correct P&L line.
- Finance support – Maintaining data feeds for the compliance bonus tracker ready for the Finance Business Partner to review with Operations, adhoc data pulling, budget building annually for fees.

- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to explain and present financial data in simple ways.
- Confident in challenging non-finance colleagues based on a combination of robust analysis/insight and experience.

- Ability to deliver to tight deadlines, despite varied and competing priorities.
- Able to build great working relationships with people from various teams.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently at times.

- A passion for pubs with plenty of energy!
Qualification:
- Ideally suited for accountancy apprenticeship.
- Excel competent.
- Experience with IBM Cognos would be advantageous.
