As an Estates Manager your role is at the heart of the Property business model. As well as being a member of the Estates Team, the role will deal with key income streams for the group and will work closely with the Retail Estates Lead.

Job Description

This role is a Manager (M2) salary band

In your role as an Estates Manager you will...

  • Have day to day responsibility for the estate management of circa 275 public houses plus associated assets covering all divisions in a designated region
  • Work with external agents and solicitors to minimise establishment costs e.g. service charges, insurance, rent and business rates
  • Manage rent review programme in a professional disciplined and commercial manner working with external agents/solicitors
  • Manage all lease renewal/exits to ensure timetables and processes are strictly adhered to ensure renewal of sites identified for retention
  • Acquisition of freehold interest of assets current leased into the Managed estate
  • Support the Asset Optimisation team on HAUV transactions including disposal or granting commercial leases
  • Supporting and managing the smooth transfer of businesses into/out of the managed divisions
  • Landlords consent for capex projects

  • Strong organisational and communication skills with a demonstrable ability to manage external consultants
  • Strong financials skills, strong negotiating skills and commercial acumen
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work and prioritise goals and objectives in response to any shift in company requirements
  • Lateral thinker, with creative approach to problem solving
  • Be a self-starter, with a disciplined approach to working on own initiative
  • Ability to influence at all levels within the business, a professional negotiator
  • Ability to make and provide advice around commercially focused business decisions
